Meet the Team

Mehrzad "Ben" Sarfehnia

President / CEO

Ben Sarfehnia serves as President and CEO of Metro RF Services, Inc., which he founded in 2001. Under his leadership, Metro RF has grown from under 5 employees to 100 employees in California, New Jersey, Florida, and Texas. Today, Metro RF provides construction, electrical, and maintenance services to major cellular carriers and other clients across the country. 

Prior to establishing Metro RF Services, Inc. in 2001, Ben founded and served as President and CEO of Metro Mobile/Metro Wireless Communications (founded in 1986). Under his leadership, Metro Mobile became a premier NEXTEL Master Agent, which he grew from a 3−man operation to having 55 employees, 100 sub−dealers, a 7,000 square foot warehouse and 7 retail stores prior to its sale in 2006.

Ben holds the California Board C10 and C7 Electrical Licenses for Metro RF.

Travis Klein

Vice President

Travis Klein serves as the VP – Business Development and oversees the East Coast operations of Metro RF Services Inc. He is responsible for overall customer relationships while building strategic plans with clients for mutually beneficial growth.

Prior to joining Metro RF, Travis has held executive rolls for the past 23 years focused on telecom for the last 13 years.  Travis brings a unique ability to identify and develop strategies for relationship building and company growth.  He has worked with all major carriers, OEMs, and tower owners over the course of his career at regional and national levels.   

Travis enjoys many outdoor activities such as boating, tournament bass fishing, sporting events, golfing and staying fit. 

Robert Norton

Director of Business Operations

Robert serves as the Director of Business Operations and oversees the operations of Metro RF Services Inc. He is responsible for overall customer relationships while building strategic plans with clients for mutually beneficial growth.

Prior to joining Metro RF, Robert worked as a Senior Manager for 19 years with a focus on Telecom for over 23 years. Robert’s work in his executive role as an experienced leader is focused on the team and the expansion of our customers. He has a unique ability to identify and develop strategies for relationship building and company growth.

Robert enjoys racquet/pickleball, water sports, camping, biking, Music and being with his family. 

Jim Focht

General Manager

Jim Focht serves as the General Manager of Metro RF Services and is responsible for construction services (carrier, electrical, and civil), safety, and logistics of the company. Jim started his tenure at Metro RF Services as a Project Manager where his leadership skills, attention to detail, commitment to safety, and vast knowledge in telecommunication and general construction afforded him the opportunity to move up to his current position as General Manager. 

Prior to joining Metro RF in 2009 as a Project Manager, Jim had 8 years field experience working as a Foreman and Construction Manager at telecommunications contractors including American Tower.

Jim holds the California General Building Contractor License for Metro RF.

Jim enjoys trying to achieve a work environment that everyone is excited to be a part of. Every day he looks forward to the camaraderie within the team and with customers, as well as to finding solutions to any challenges that arise. 

Rebecca Stalter

Market Manager

Rebecca Stalter serves as the Market Manager – Northeast of Metro RF Services Inc.  Rebecca joined Metro RF Services as a project administrator 7 years ago and has worked her way up to her current position through her extensive knowledge, hard work, and dedication. With Rebecca’s proven leadership and organizational skills, she is able to maintain a good culture and sense of urgency driven through the market. 

Prior to joining Metro RF, Rebecca had 15 years of experience working in the wireless telecom constructions space from accounting to project management. 

Rebecca enjoys being with her family, listening to music, and cooking for guests.

Davis Besiso

Director Project Management

David Besiso serves as the Director of Project Management for Metro RF Services Inc. David is responsible for the structure and processes of Metro’s project management team and how they operate efficiently. He is a dedicated professional that has thrived at Metro RF for 16 years. Starting as a Field Technician, he climbed the ranks to become a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and onto the roll he currently holds as director. David is also a great leader and industry expert that has driven successful projects and fostered innovation.

 

When he is not working, David enjoys swimming and soccer in his personal time.

Rorey Wanliss

Sr Site Acquisition Manager

Rorey Wanliss serves as the Sr Site Acquisition Manager for Metro RF Services Inc. and is responsible for the project management and customer delivery of Metro RF’s SAQ division. Rorey has an extensive 33yr background in SAQ and has developed long term relationships with customers and colleagues that is second to none. He has such dedication to customers and deliveries that he leads very well by example and is a true asset to Metro RF.

 

Rorey’s personal interests include track & field, swimming, vacations, and theater.

Patrick Nakamura

Senior Vice President / COO

Patrick Nakamura serves as Senior Vice President and COO of Metro RF Services and is responsible for the day to day operations nationwide. Since his promotion to this position in 2014, Patrick has provided leadership and is responsible for oversight of Metro RF’s Human Resources, Operations, Accounting/Finance, Marketing, and Strategic planning.

Patrick started his career at Metro RF in Business Development where he excelled allowing him to move up, taking roles in Project Management, General Manager and Vice President, onto his current role. Patrick has been instrumental in the diversification and growth of Metro RF which has received accolades from various clients and was recently awarded Ericsson’s North American Supplier of the Year. 

Prior to his arrival at Metro RF in 2007, Patrick had 14 years of leadership experience in the Telecommunications Industry, including Guam Cellular & Paging (now Docomo Pacific), where he oversaw retail sales, purchasing, customer service, and retention for the carrier on Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.
